Marie Turner

March 11, 1931 – July 16, 2026
Obituary of Marie Turner
IN THE CARE OF

Casey Funeral Home

Marie Turner, 95, was born on March 11, 1931, in Staten Island, NY, and passed away on July 16, 2026. She was born and raised in Staten Island’s New Brighton neighborhood, the daughter of Marco and Pauline Villani.

Marie attended Curtis High School, where she was a member of the swim team—an early sign of the determination and spirit that would remain with her throughout her life.

Following high school, Marie worked in Manhattan for Pearl Insurance as a bookkeeper in the accounts department. She later continued her working life closer to home, serving at Assumption Church and working with several upholstery companies in Staten Island, bringing steady dedication and care to all she did.

Marie was married to the love of her life, Marshall Turner (Red), for 48 years, until his passing in 2003. She is survived by her children Paula Marchi (Rick), Karen Pistilli (Ben), and Mark Turner; her grandchildren Stephen, Amanda, Michele, Nicholas, Katrina, and Marshall; her 14 great grandchildren, who brought her immense joy; and her sister Carol Perrone. She was predeceased by her brother Sonny Villani.

Marie found happiness in the everyday pleasures that make a life rich: watching NY Yankees games, playing cards, and taking trips to Atlantic City. She especially loved food shopping and cooking, and nothing meant more to her than time spent seeing her great grandchildren.

Remembered as feisty and deeply loving, Marie was beloved by all who knew her. Her devotion to family and her steadfast presence were gifts that will be missed beyond measure.

Funeral Services will be held privately.

Marie would often say, “I love you more” and “I got your back”—words that reflected the enduring love and loyalty she gave so freely, and that will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved her.
