

Marilyn Crisson, 68, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, educator, and lifelong Staten Islander passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, whom she married in 1973. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and memories. Marilyn is survived by her devoted son, Steven, her loving daughter, Brittany, precious granddaughter, Sophia, daughter-in-law, Telma son-in-law, Mitch, and her adored cat Carmela.
Marilyn was a loving daughter of the late Joan and Raymond Mulligan. Predeceased by her brother Raymond, sister Kathy, survived by her brother Robert and sister Irene, and the aunt to many wonderful nieces and nephews.
In addition to being a dedicated wife and mother, Marilyn was a passionate educator with a Master's Degree in Education. She spent 25 years imparting knowledge, wisdom, and encouragement to countless students as a teacher, leaving a lasting impact on all those she taught. Marilyn's commitment to education and her students was unwavering, and she was admired by both colleagues and pupils alike.
Outside of her professional life, Marilyn found solace in gardening and tending to her plants. Marilyn’s most cherished moments were ones spent with family, friends, and loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Marilyn's family was her pride and joy, and she found immense happiness in their company.
A visitation for Marilyn will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310, followed by a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
