

Born Marilyn Schubert on Staten Island, she lived in Port Richmond until the early 1960s, when she moved to Edison, N.J. She also lived in Carteret, N.J., before settling in Hudson 25 years ago.
Mrs. Mowczan was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She also enjoyed fishing and crabbing and wanted to retire to a place where she could do both most days. Mrs. Mowczan was a dog lover, and always owned one.
She graduated from Port Richmond High School.
She attended St. Michael the Archangel R.C. Church in Hudson.
Her husband of more than 50 years, Edward, died in 2008.
Surviving are four sons, Edward, James, Richard and Fred; six grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
The funeral will be Friday from the Harmon Home for Funerals, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Adalbert's R.C. Church, Elm Park. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Brighton.
