

Marion Agnes Snyder, a lifelong resident of Staten Island, passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Port and Dorothy Little-Conway, and was predeceased by her brother, Robert Port, and her devoted husband, David B. Snyder.
Marion is survived by her cherished daughter, Victoria Snyder Orleman, her son-in-law, James Orleman, and her four adored grandchildren: James, Faith, Olivia, and Sadie, who were the true joy of her life.
Marion dedicated many years of service to New York State, retiring from the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, where she served as a Transportation Manager. Earlier in her career, she worked as an airline stewardess for Pan American World Airways and as a stenographer for the New York State Court Office—roles that reflected both her professionalism and love of people.
A proud Staten Islander, Marion graduated from Curtis High School, where she was a member of the varsity bowling team. She later attended the College of Staten Island. An avid bowler throughout her life, she also enjoyed playing golf and tennis in her younger years.
Marion had a passion for travel and especially enjoyed taking group trips to friends to the casino. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her friends and, most importantly, with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, warmth, and love.
Marion will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her witty humor, and her dedication to family, and her unwavering kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
