Mickey graduated from Curtis High School. He went to work at W.E. Hutton co, from 1967-75. He served in the US Army in Vietnam from 1969-71. Mickey worked for Bear Sterns corp from 1978-2008.
He was a member of Blessed Heart Roman Catholic Church. He was a big fan of the New York Rangers. He enjoyed the John Wick franchise of films. He loved dogs, and often could be found bragging about his, and eagerly showing their pictures. He was often found reading from almost any genre of fiction he could.
Mickey will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 43 years Keni, his daughter Sara Faybishenko (Dmitry), his son and former caregiver Mark III, his grandchildren Aria and Elijah who dearly loved their PopPop and enjoyed playing games with him, as well as his loving niece Renee and his loving nephew Mikey, to which he was always known to share ice cream and other treats earning the nickname Uncle Nummies and Uncle N.
A visitation for Mark will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024, from 4:00-9:00 pm at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Avenue, Staten Island NY, 10310. A mass of Christian burial will occur from 11 am to 12 pm at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 1091 Forest Avenue Staten Island NY 10310.
