Martin Holder Jr.

Martin was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. He attended grammar school at St. Brendan’s and went on to Cardinal Hayes High School and graduated in 1968. He then went on to graduate from St. John’s University in 1972. He worked as an Operations Specialist at Oppenheimer for 42 years, retired in 2017.

Martin was a lifelong, diehard Yankees and Jets fan. He loved making trips to Yankee Stadium and especially enjoyed tailgating before Jets games. He was a proud member & supporter of the Cardinal Hayes Track & Field Alumni Association. You could always count on Marty for a good laugh and he’d give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. His sarcasm was unmatched and he defintley left a lasting impression on anyone that was lucky enough to have spent time with him.

Martin is survived by his son, Tim, his wife, Jean and his beautiful granddaughter, Penelope. Also, his brother, Kevin, his sisters, Kathleen (and her husband Arnie) & Maura, his nieces Erin, Alexandra & Amanda, nephews Michael & Patrick and many dear friends. Martin was predeceased by his father, Martin Holder, Sr., in 2005 and by his mother, Therese Holder, in 2020.
