

Mary (Wisienski) Andella of Pembroke, MA and formally of Staten Island, NY passed away peacefully on January 11, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving husband and her family. At the time of her death, Mary was 63 years old.
Born and raised on Staten Island, Mary attended St. Mary of The Assumption Grammar School, Port Richmond High School and The College of Staten Island. In 1982, Mary began working as a legal secretary at the law firm of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton.
In 2002, while on a ski trip to New Hampshire, she met the love of her life, and future husband, Gene. Even though Mary lived on Staten Island, and Gene lived in Massachusetts, they managed to create a loving and lasting long- distance relationship. Mary moved to Massachusetts in 2005. Mary and Gene married in May 2011. While living in Boston, Mary was employed by Century Equity Partners. She retired in 2020.
Mary truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a fabulous hostess and she was especially known for her baking and cake decorating abilities. She also enjoyed gardening which she found relaxing and rewarding. Mary was artistic and she shared that talent by helping her nieces and nephews creatively express themselves. Mary’s artistic ability was also displayed in her gift-wrapping skills which were admired by all.
Mary’s happy place was the beach. She always sought a beach destination when she vacationed. A few of her favorite trips were to Cape Cod, the Jersey shore, Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico. She loved the sun and her friends were envious of her golden tan.
Predeceased by her parents Audrey (nee McEnerney) and John Wisienski, she is survived by her husband, Gene, devoted “bonus” mom to Anthony (Brittany) Andella and Katy (Sean) Kincheloe. She was the loving sister to Pat (Frank) Cecero, Alex (Maria) Wisienski, Liz (Gary) LiGreci and Terri (Bill) Carroll. She was the fond sister-in-law of Lynne (Bob) Costa. Cherished aunt to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday January 26, 2023.
Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 981 Castleton Ave, Staten Island at 11:00 PM Friday January 27.
