Mary DeMizio

Mary DeMizio a native Staten Islander was born on August 26th 1942 to Frank “Lefty” and Sarah Biondi. Mary was the loving sister of Patty Cordero and Camille Pluff. Mary was the adored mother of Frances Corio, Frank Giordano, and Linda Crispino. Devoted grandmother to Ricky Jr, Anthony, Gina Marie, Marissa, Dominick Jr, Michael, Christopher, Vincent, Gianna, Frankie Jr, and Nicole. Great grandmother to Chloe, Lilliana, Laila, Scarlett, Demi, Juliette, and Rocco. Mary was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life Thomas “Tame” DeMizio in 1995. The two together filled their grandchildren’s childhood with the most cherished memories of times spent in Dutch Wonderland, Snug Harbor, Disneyworld, and most special, on Mary and Tames hotdog truck- Tippy’s, a neighborhood favorite. Mary was a lifetime parishioner of Assumption Church in New Brighton, her love of Jesus and the Blessed Mother was the foundation of Mary’s strength and faith. She fought a courageous battle with breast cancer, and went to heaven peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded in love by her three children.

A religious ceremony will occur Monday, June 10, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 981 Castleton Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 10, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at St. Peters Cemetery, 52 Tyler Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310.
