Born Mary Isola in Manhattan, she graduated from Yorkville High School there before moving to Queens in 1962. She relocated to Great Kills in 1997.
A homemaker, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing cards and cooking a variety of Italian recipes for her family.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the St. Theresa’s Widows Club, both in Queens.
Her husband of 21 years, George, died in 1970.
Surviving are three daughters, Diana Trabanco, Theresa Giella, Lisa Pepe, and three granddaughters.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Casey-McCallum-Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare’s R.C. Church, Great Kills. Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale.
