

Born Mary Jane Davis in Annapolis, Md., she was brought to South Beach as a young child and graduated from New Dorp High School.
She had lived in Arrochar for more than 40 years.
Mrs. Parlamenti had been working as a cashier and stock clerk at the CVS Pharmacy in Port Richmond for 10 years. Prior to that, she worked at the former Sweet Shoppe in Arrochar for many years and was a keypunch operator at Equitable Life Insurance Co.'s former offices in New Dorp.
She was fond of gardening, and was very attached to her two dogs. Earlier, she enjoyed belonging to R.E.A.C.T., a CB radio club.
Mrs. Parlamenti treasured her granddaughters and loved spending time with them.
She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, South Beach.
Her husband of 32 years, Paul, died in 2002.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Parlamenti-Rivera; two sisters, Dolores (Dee) Lach and Helen Joan Cavorley, and two granddaughters.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Grasmere.
