

Maryann Eissa, age 79, of Whiting, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, MaryAnn Eissa (née Giammarino), 79, passed away on February 11, 2025, in New York City. Born on December 22, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, MaryAnn spent her early years there before her family relocated to Hollywood, California, when she was five years old.
She went on to build a remarkable career in the television industry, working on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and later contributing to “The Dating Game” and "The Newlywed Game”
Beyond her professional accomplishments, MaryAnn had a deep passion for physical fitness. She was a dedicated Physical Fitness Instructor and found joy in playing pickleball. She also loved dancing, especially The Lindy, which brought her great happiness throughout her life. In her later life, she embraced her creativity by designing unique jewelry, showcasing her artistic talents in new ways.
She was also especially devoted to her pets. She found a warm sense of comfort and companionship with BB, Smokey and Gracie. MaryAnn was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Florence Giammarino. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Giammarino, as well as her cousins Ann Darretta, Frank Carpenito and her ex-husband Ahmed and his Family.
Mary Ann had a strong devotion to St. Jude and would appreciate your donations to St Jude Children’s Research in lieu of flowers, in her memory. Mary Ann will live on through the lives she touched and the creative spirit she shared with those around her.
A memorial gathering will be held in her honor on March 15, 2025, at Holy Rosary Church, located at 80 Jerome Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10314. The service will take place from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
