Dearest wife and daughter
Melissa Lee Cunha (nee Honig), 48 years old, passed away at home on July 30, 2017, after a long illness.
Born in Jacksonville, Fla., Melissa resided in Graniteville, Staten Island, N.Y., and was married for 29 years to her beloved husband, Scott Joseph Cunha.
She attended Tottenville High School and worked in the broadcast industry for Beers Enterprises as a client services manager.
Melissa loved her family, music, the U.S.A., and was profoundly grateful to our Armed Forces.
With her husband, she is survived by her mother, Phyllis Honig; sister Lisa Sacco and her husband, Gino, brother-in-law Lance Cunha and his wife, Mary.
She was the beloved aunt to Gail and Andrew Criscione, Jennifer and Heath Rodman, Heather and Christopher Amato, Brianna Sacco, Serena Sacco, and seven great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Ave., Staten Island, N.Y., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and/or Fisher House.
