Morgan (Buddy) is survived by his three children, Rita Ann, Martin, & Eileen, & son-in-law Peter McMonagle. Also survived by his two grandsons, Peter & James, as well as many nieces. He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Rita Ryan (nee' Malloy) who passed in 2016. Buddy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he worked for the NYC Department of Corrections for 20 years. He enjoyed the comradery of his coworkers. He was a devout Catholic who enjoyed attending the 5 P.M. Saturday Mass at Holy Rosary Church. Growing up in Brooklyn, he was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers. He truly enjoyed watching horse racing, doing crossword puzzles, and playing trivia games. Visitation will be held at Virginia Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral mass on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, followed by an interment at Cemetery of the Resurrection.
