Nancy A. Puglisi, 59
Born in Brooklyn Nancy Carrescia, she moved to Oakwood in 1977, where she remained until settling in Bay Terrace 14 years ago.
She was a 1971 graduate of St. Edmund Preparatory High School, Brooklyn.
Mrs. Puglisi worked as a cook and dietary aide the Carmel Richmond Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Dongan Hills, for 15 years until 2009.
She was a member of the Elks Lodge in Greenridge.
Mrs. Puglisi loved to bowl and competed in leagues on Staten Island. She also enjoyed cooking.
Mrs. Puglisi was a parishioner of St. Charles R.C. Church, Oakwood.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Louis; son, Paul; a daughter, Tara Caputo; her parents, Paul and Vinceza Carrescia; brother, John, and one grandson.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey-McCallum-Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 9:15 a.m. in St. Charles Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
