Nancy G. Sapienza, 98, of Grant City, Staten Island, passed away on Aug. 19, 2016. Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Sapienza; loving mother of Nancy Rubinson, Victor, Joseph and Richard Sapienza; and dear sister of Anne Virga and Julia Strain. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Nancy's whole world was centered around her family and she was a symbol of strength and inspiration to all. Her home was always open to family and friends. Nancy was a parishioner at St. Christopher's Church. The funeral is from Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave., Castleton Corners, S.I., on Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Christopher's Church, 130 Midland Ave., S.I. Interment is at Moravian Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
