Born on March 10, 1941 Nannette was the daughter of Frederick and Hannah Inhken. She was a lifelong Staten Islander who built her life and her family in the community she called home. Nannette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, and her family was at the center of her world.
She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Rosso, Jr. (Butch), who passed away in 2014. Together, they built a family that continued to be the greatest source of pride and joy in her life.
She is survived by her three children, Philip (Terri), Cindy Zaccardo (Michael) and Gerard, as well as 7 grandchildren Ashley and Victoria Zaccardo, Abigail Jacobs, Kyle, Issac, Noah, Jacob Rosso and 2 great-grandchildren Kayden and Hudson Rosso, who will carry her memory and the traditions she created with them for generations to come.
A woman of deep Catholic faith, Nannette’s faith was an important part of her life. She was a proud graduate of St. John Villa Academy and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing. Nannette was a longtime member of the Christian Mothers Society at St. Joseph Rosebank, where her faith and connection to her community remained an important part of who she was.
Outside of her family and faith, Nannette had a love for enjoying the company of others. She was an accomplished bowler and took great pride in her bowling league on Staten Island. She also loved playing cards, listening to live music, spending time with the people around her and enjoying the friendly competition that came with it.
Those who knew her will remember her for her strong personality, her love of family, her generosity, and the way she could fill a room with her presence. She had a way of making sure everyone around her was taken care of; especially when it came to making sure no one left her home hungry.
Her life was filled with family, faith, friendship, laughter, and countless memories. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
