

Born in northern Spain in 1936 she moved to London and worked as a nanny for the ambassador of the Ivory Coast and in 1966 when he was transferred to NY she also moved to the United States. She was married to Ignazio (Iggy) in 1969 having met at a dance hall that she attended with a friend who to this day remained close to her. She dedicated herself to her family and was known for her willful spirit. Always keeping herself busy, once her children were on their own, she proudly put her seamstress skills to work.
She and Iggy were married for nearly 57 years and is survived by him, daughter Maria, son Giovanni, daughter-in-law Emily, sister Carmen and grandchildren Daniela, Maxwell, and Gianluca.

A visitation will be held at Casey Funeral Home, located at 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314, on February 25, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1634 Victory Blvd, New York, NY 10314, on February 26, 2026, at 9:30 am. The committal service will follow at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Rd, New York, NY 10306.
