
Born Olga Peccia in Cantalupo, Italy, she came to the U.S. in 1973, moving to Brooklyn. Mrs. Perfetto settled in Grant City in 2000 and entered Carmel Richmond eight years ago.
She loved to cook, and counted among her specialties homemade pastas and breads, cookies and sweets.
“She lived for her grandkids and her family,” said loved ones. “She especially looked forward to Sunday dinners with everyone, when she would serve her special cavatelli, which she made from scratch.”
Mrs. Perfetto also enjoyed traveling to Italy.
She attended St. Christopher’s R.C. Church, Grant City.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Salvatore; her sons, Aldo, Claudio and Cesare, and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 9 a.m. in St. Christopher’s Church. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
