On Wednesday, May 6, 2020, Patricia Mary Donnellan, loving wife and mother of two daughters passed away at the age of 90. Patricia was born on December 18, 1929 in Manhattan, New York to Mary Ellen and Patrick Lyons and had one younger brother Thomas. During her youth she also lived with and was close to her Aunt Catherine and Uncle James and their children Martin, Catherine, Mary Ellen, Thomas, Patricia and Florence, Martin's spouse. She received a high school diploma from St. Jean the Baptiste in 1948 and worked for Chemical/Chase Bank in the Loan Review Department for over 22 years. On December 13, 1952 she married her soulmate and one true north John Francis Donnellan. They remain kindred spirits even in death. They raised two daughters together, Susan and Claire. Patricia was a deeply religious woman of tremendous faith. She was a loving wife and selfless mother. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and friends. She never forgot to send a card for any occasion and attended all celebrations and functions always looking forward to being with those she loved. She enjoyed going to the theater, museums, trying new restaurants and travel. Patricia was known for her compassion and kindness and her loyalty to family and friends. Patricia was proceeded in death by her husband John, daughter Susan, parents Mary Ellen and Patrick, brother Thomas, Aunt Catherine, Uncle James and cousin Martin. She is survived by her daughter Claire and cousins Catherine, Mary Ellen, Florence, Thomas and Patricia. There will be a private service on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Casey's Funeral Home. When I would visit from west coast during the summer, Patty was our travel guide She had maps and wonderful suggestions about places or restaurants we might visit. Since my visits were always too short, she was always filled with destinations and fun facts before hand. So fun to share with Patty
