Patricia Lynne Isola, left us peacefully at home in Anadale on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the age of 77. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth, creativity, and spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Born and raised in New Dorp, Patricia graduated from New Dorp High School in 1964, where she began to lay the foundation for a life full of love, dedication, and artistic expression. After high school, Patricia worked at Chase Bank in Manhattan before embracing her most cherished role as a mother and homemaker starting in 1972.
In 1976, Patricia and her late husband Eugene Isola settled in Annadale, where they built a life filled with joy and community. Patricia’s creative spirit flourished as she began working part-time at Shades of the Past stained glass studio, where she crafted exquisite stained glass pieces, including lamps and windows, that will be treasured by those who were touched by her artistry.
In 1993, Patricia began a new chapter as a secretary at St. John’s University on the Staten Island campus, a role she held with dedication and grace until her retirement in 2011. Her retirement allowed her the time to enjoy traveling with Eugene, spending cherished moments with her children and grandchildren, and pursuing her passions for gardening, cooking, and participating in her beloved book club.
Patricia was the widow of Eugene Isola and is survived by her sister, Joan Pinto, and her three children: Tracy Bickerton and her husband Thomas, Kimberly Loize and her husband Jean Pierre, and Amy Isola. She was the proud grandmother of six: Michael, Brielle, Jake, Sadie, Riley, and Reese, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
