Patrick Meagher

Elevator mechanic, 'a very proud Dad,' 41 Patrick Francis Meagher, 41, of Castleton Corners died Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at home. Born on June 21, 1980, he is survived by his loving wife, Mary (nee Caggiano) and three children, Samantha, Grace, and Liam. Surviving also are his parents, Frank Meagher and Alyce Connelly, brothers Robert and his wife Colleen, and Christopher. Also surviving are is father and mother in law, Robert and Elizabeth Caggiano; brother in law Nicholas Caggiano and his wife Nicole, and sister in law Angela Smith and her husband James; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Patrick moved to Garwood New Jersey at a young age. He graduated from Arthur L Johnson high school in Clark New Jersey. He moved back to Staten Island and pursued a career as an elevator mechanic working for T&T elevator for many years. He joined the Local 1 elevator union in 2018 and worked for TEI elevators until the time of his death. Besides loving his job, Patrick loved the flag, his Irish Heritage and an ice cold Coors Light. He loved a good party and enjoyed entertaining in his backyard. He looked forward to St Patrick's Day every year and loved going to the Staten Island parade. He was a friend to all. He could go anywhere and make friends. He would light up the room. He was very handy and loved to fix things not only in his home but for anyone who needed a helping hand. He took great pride in helping people and being there for others. He never said no to anyone. He had a great love for his family like no other. He would do anything for them. Above all, his pride and joy were his children. He spent time coaching soccer for Our Lady Queen of Peace. He showed off his children any time he could. He was a very proud dad. They were the light of his life. A viewing will be held Tuesday, April 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Ave., Staten Island NY. A mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00am at St Ann Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow at Moravian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers.
