Born on May 11, 1964, in Staten Island, New York. He was the son of Gail Konczynski and the late Joseph Konczynski Sr. Paulie was a kind soul with a clever sense of humor and vibrant creative spirit. He was a gifted, self-taught painter, a talent he shared with his late father.
A talented and self-taught musician, Paulie found his truest expression through music. He taught himself piano as a child and was an avid songwriter. He enjoyed all types of music, but Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks were his greatest inspiration. Paulie also found joy in the simple things: cooking, exploring nature, hiking, and gardening. He traveled extensively throughout Upstate New York, especially loving Lake Minnewaska in Kerhonkson. He cherished his collection of herbs, tea leaves, and rocks gathered on his travels.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Gail Konczynski; his brothers, Joseph Jr. and Daniel; sister-in-law Jennifer; his nieces and nephews, Joseph III, Thomas, Tricia, Johnathan, Genevieve, Nicholas, and Tommy; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Konczynski Sr., and his sisters-in-laws, Laura, Cecilia, and Jennifer.
A memorial service will be held at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Avenue, Staten Island, NY, on September 3 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to honor his life.
