Peter E. DeBlasio

Peter DeBlasio's Trial career started in 1955 and ended in 2006. During these 51 years he tried more than 500 jury cases (civil and criminal, for plaintiffs and defendants). Amongst those cases was the first 8 figure verdict in New York history ( $10 million dollars for Betty Crabb, N.Y. County 1982), the highest plaintiff verdict in Westchester County, until that time ($25 million Dollars for plaintiff Ken Tanabe in 1993), the highest verdict in Rockland County until that time ($20 million dollars for David Braun in1990), and the highest loss of consortium verdict in New York State until that time ($3 million dollars for Mrs. Baumgarten in 1996 in Nassau County).

In 1983 Peter DeBlasio was listed in the preface of the first publication of the Best Lawyers in America and was included in all of its publications until his retirement.

A visitation for Peter will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Ann's Church, 101 Cromwell Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10304. Burial at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY 10306. December 23, 2020
