

Peter J. Hitsous, a devoted, beloved, and faithful man, passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on March 27, 1954, in New York City, Peter was a lifelong resident of Staten Island, New York.
Peter had a distinguished career with Allstar Elevator and Otis Elevator, from which he retired. He was known for his ability to fix anything from elevators to car parts and was always willing to lend a hand to friends and family.
He was married to his beloved wife, Theresa Hitsous, for 27 years until her passing in 2007. Peter continued to cherish and honor her memory throughout his life. He is survived by his children, Kristin Palmeri and Michael Hitsous, his son-in-law, Thomas Palmeri, and his cherished granddaughter, Theresa Palmeri. He also leaves behind his siblings, Elaine Hitsous and Angela Hitsous, and joins his late sister, Regina Cavallo, in eternal rest.
Peter was a devoted father and grandfather who always made time for those he loved. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, accompanying her on shopping sprees and other adventures. He was known for his reliability, punctuality, and respect for others, regardless of their position. His love for Sunday dinners with family and his enjoyment of car shows and dining with friends around Staten Island were well known.
A man of traditional values and honor, Peter believed in hard work, sacrifice for the good of others, and the importance of keeping one's word. He taught those around him that anything worth doing is worth doing well and consistently delivered perfection in any task he undertook. Peter was a prideful man who always presented himself well, whether in his green Otis uniform or a new tuxedo.
He will be forever missed by his friends and family, and his love and wisdom will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
