

He was born on Staten Island at St. Vincent’s Hospital on March 5, 1962 to Raymond Campbell and Joyce Scanlon. He grew up in the Port Richmond neighborhood. He attended school at St. Roch’s and graduated from McKee Technical High School. He then became a New York City Correctional Officer serving the city for 20 years before retiring. From then, he became a school bus driver for Pioneer Transportation.
Raymond spent his adult life as a resident of the West Brighton neighborhood with his wife and two children. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. He was proud to have coached both of his children through various years of CYO basketball at Sacred Heart School. He was a steadfast member of his neighborhood and community, known and loved by many. He is remembered as generous, humble, kind-hearted and a reliable friend to many.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Susan; his son Ryan and daughter Kristen; his parents Raymond and Joyce; his brother, Brian Campbell (Corinne), his sister, Kerry Zavala (Lou) and his four beloved nieces.

Visitation will be held at Harmon Funeral Home, located at 571 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310, on February 23, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Church, located at 981 Castleton Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310, on February 24, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:15 am.
