Born Rita Torricello in Brooklyn, she attended New Utrecht High School there. She moved to Willowbrook in 1977.
Mrs. Orlando worked as a clerk at Chemical Bank for many years. She retired in 1988.
She was a member of the Todt Hill Friendship Club.
Mrs. Orlando enjoyed bowling at Showplace Lanes, traveling, visitss to Atlantic City and shopping at Macy's.
"She loved talking to anybody and everybody," said her niece Elizabeth Post.
Mrs. Orlando's husband of 24 years, Robert, died in 1988.
Surviving is her sister, Ann Ramage.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Rita's R.C. Church, Meiers Corner. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
