STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Robert Ardigo Jr., 62, of Eltingville, a former stockbroker on Wall Street who loved spending time with his family, died Friday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.
Born in Brooklyn, he moved to New Dorp to raise his family in 1983, eventually settling in Eltingville around 2000.
Mr. Ardigo graduated from Lafayette High School in 1968. Shortly after that, he started his career on Wall Street, later working as a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch.
During his leisure time, he enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees, enjoyed watching classic movies and was an animal lover who adored his two dogs. Above all, Mr. Ardigo looked forward to family gathering and holidays, where his family said they cherished his quick wit and charming personality.
He his survived by his wife of three years, the former Joanne Bivona; a son, Robert; a daughter, Alexandra; two step-sons, Richard and Michael Terrazas; his mother, Anne, and a sister, Lorraine Rossi.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Casey-McCallum-Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Clare's Chapel, Great Kills. Arrangements include cremation.
