

A lifelong resident of Westerleigh, Mr. Ferone graduated from Moore Catholic High School in Graniteville.
He was a chef for several years at his family-owned restaurant, Roberto’s, formerly located in Rosebank. He then spent 16 years working as a courier for Federal Express.
Always considered a handyman, Mr. Ferone was well-known among his family for being able to fix almost anything around the house. He also like building model airplanes and maintaining his two saltwater fish tanks.
Mr. Ferone loved watching his youngest son, Nicholas, play baseball. He also spent much of his time caring for his elderly parents.
“He was very devoted to his family,” said his wife of 23 years, Margaret.
Mr. Ferone was a parishioner of Holy Family R.C. Church, Westerleigh.
In addition to his wife, Margaret, surviving are two sons, Michael and Nicholas; a daughter, ToniAnne Micara; his parents, Robert and Katherine, and a sister, Christine Ferone.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Oakwood. Arrangements under the direction of Casey Funeral Home, Staten Island, NY.
