Rosa Palladino

Rosa Palladino was born in Casagiove, Italy, on February 2, 1938 and passed away on May 27, 2025 at the age of 87. She came to America at the age of 14 with her mother (our Nonna) to live with her sister, Rina, in the Bronx. Rina and her husband, Mike, welcomed them with open arms, and they both became part of our family. Though she was our Aunt, she was so much more to her six nieces. Our Dad used to say he had seven daughters, not six, and he meant every word. Rosa worked tirelessly alongside our parents to help raise us, love us and support us. She worked for Metro North and was able to retire on her pension. She enjoyed traveling, and we were able to go on cruises to the Caribbean and other memorable vacations.

When her sister Rina (our mother) became ill, Rosa was her greatest help and strength. We are comforted knowing that she is reunited with our mother and father. Give them a kiss from all of us. Rest now, wrapped in the arms of the angels, surround by the love you gave so freely in life. We love you deeply, our “sister,” from all your nieces (Maria, Eda, Irene, Mickie, Sandra and Anna) and our entire family

A visitation for Rosa will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 2, 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1634 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10314. A committal service will occur Monday, June 2, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
