It is with deep heartache we share the news of Rose M. Bernardo’s passing. Rose was born October 31, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York and passed away on September 23, 2026 at her home in Staten Island, New York.
Rose was a caregiver and took immense pride in her skill and ability to care for her family. She raised two beautiful daughters, Michele and Donna, and stood as a dependable wife to her late husband John. Rosemarie curated the most beautiful home for her family to flourish in and used her quick wit and intelligence to manage all manners of the residence.
Rose had an incredibly strong heart, her resilience and strength shined through until her very last breath. She fought hard every day to show up for her family and steer them through every hardship.
Rose carried with her a legacy of love for one’s family that we cherish moving forward. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her knew of her strength and tenacity. We embody her spirit as we move through this heartbreak together, and hold fast to her heart.
She is survived by her two daughters Michele and Donna, her son Teo, her granddaughter Angelina, and her brother Salvador.
