Rose Ferone

Rose was born May 1st 1931 (Valittuto). She was married to the late Joseph J Ferone.

She is survived by her children: Antoinette, Rosemary, Lenora and the late Joann & Louella along with her Grandchildren (7), and Great-Grandchildren (9).

Rose married young and started her family. She became very active in schools to support her children becoming PTA President/VP/Chairperson for 28 years between P.S16, I.S61, Mckee and Curtis High School Cafeteria committee, and Distar volunteer reader.

She would often say "Don't waste food!"

She was the first woman usher for Our Lady of Good Counsel Church as a Hospitality Minister. Her responsibilities were to clean the church, Right to life, President of Holy Rosary society, Leisure time, Legion of Mary, Catholic Daughters, Alzheimer's Association, Salvation Army, court of St Cecil, and the Tompkinsville Association.

In addition, she worked at the Board of elections, Women's Republican party, as well as, a volunteer for various nursing homes and senior centers on Staten Island.

Rose moved to Florida in 1995 where she lived happily enjoying her wonderful warm life. She later returned to New York to be closer to her family.

She enjoyed squareline dancing, swimming, garage sales,traveling, reading, baseball and bragging about her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren!

A visitation for Rose will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00PM to

9:00 PM and Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310.

A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, July 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 10 Austin Place, Staten island, NY 10304.
