January 21, 1961 – April 7, 2020
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Rossano Javier Bracho, Sr., age 59, passed away on April 7th after a battle with COVID-19. He is survived by Rossano, Jr., Tomas, Diana, Noah, and Evone. He was a devoted, supportive, and loving grandfather to Kaheim, Xavian, Nyera, Tomas Jr., Jerome, and Riley.
Rossano Sr. was a brother to Amelia, Gladys, Tomas, and other siblings, and countless extended family, his supportive colleagues, his best friend, Dorothy Gathers, and the mother of his children, Roxana Bracho.
Rossano was born in Colon, Panama to Evone Jones and Tomas Bracho. He came to America in 1978 and attended Sheepshead Bay High School. He worked at Kings County Hospital for 34 years. He enjoyed action movies,, The Bill Maher Show, good food, accomplishing goals, games of chance, sports, nature shows, and dominoes. His first love was his family. He was a perfect father and grandfather to all of his children and grandchildren. He always went out of his way to help and care for all of his loved ones regardless of any consequences to himself. He will forever live in our hearts and memories. His love and stories will be passed down through his family forever.
But our commonwealth is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will change our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power which enables him even to subject all things to himself.
God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, “Come to Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stop beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove
to us, He only takes the best.
