Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother
Ruth Kathleen Fressola (nee Cochran), 94, of Westerleigh, Staten Island, N.Y., died March 12, 2016.
Born in Glasgow, W.Va., Ruth was a nursing student at Medical College of Virginia. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and reading.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Dr. Alfonso Fressola; brother, Keith Cochran; and sister, Ann Fox.
She is survived by her children, Anthony (Amy Hirson), Alfonso (Diane) and Julia Will (David); grandchildren, Ryan, Jared, Tony, RJ; great-grandchildren, Ytistan, Kaedan, Mischa, Freda, Emma; inlaws, Evelyn Mazzitelli, Rena Esposito, and Michael and Irene Fressola.
Visitation is Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave. Funeral is Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in Moravian Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
