Salvatore Angelo Castellano passed away peacefully on July 21, 2023. He was born on November 30, 1950 in the Bronx, New York, the son of Frank and Katherine Castellano. His parents preceded him in death.
Sal graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School and attended the University of Buffalo. He retired from Mattress Firm where he, for many years, worked as a sales person and manager. He enjoyed travel and gardening and was especially proud of his vegetable garden.
Sal is survived by his son, Joseph Castellano, a sister, Anne Schaumburg, and his beloved partner, Barbara Donnelly.
A visitation for Salvatore will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at St.Clare Church, 110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10308.
