Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Friend
Sandra “Sandy” DelGrosso, a shining light to all who knew her, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will never be forgotten.
Sandy was the devoted mother of two and a proud grandmother of three, but her heart had room for many more. She was lovingly known as a second mom to James, her favorite and only son in law, and to all of her daughter’s friends, always welcoming everyone with warmth, a listening ear, and her signature big smile that could brighten any room.
With her striking blue eyes and joyful spirit, Sandy had a way of making people feel instantly at home. Whether you were family, a friend, or a stranger, you were seen and cared for in her presence.
Sandy was also a devoted fur mom to many beloved pets throughout her life. Although she leaves behind her beloved cats; Moose, Belle, Zero and Ollie, and Grand-dog, Thanos- She now reunites with her cherished dog Peanut, who predeceased her and who no doubt was waiting with a wagging tail, alongside Sarge and Bandit.
Sandy’s pride and joy in life was being a mom to Dana and Courtney DelGrosso, her “first true loves”, though Sandy’s grandchildren, Beautiful Kaylah, Sweet Boy Jace, and Curly Top Joey Jaymes, truly gave Sandy a new purpose in life. Sharing traditions she started with her own daughters, passed down to her grandchildren; Such as annual visits to Casola Farms for Pumpkin Picking, driving around to see Christmas lights, and eating at Sandy’s favorite place, the Dove Diner.
Her daughters, Dana and Courtney, reminisce on Sandy’s love for 80’s style music, including being able to recite loud with joy, “Sugar Hill Gang- Rapper’s Delight” verbatim.
Her memory and traditions will be carried on by her children, grandchildren, countless friends, and all the lives she touched with her boundless compassion and humor.
Instead of a formal service, the family kindly asks that you share any fond memories, stories, or photos with her daughters—celebrating Sandy’s life the way she lived it: with love, laughter, and connection.
In lieu of flowers, hug your loved ones a little tighter and smile at a stranger, just like Sandy would have done.
