Segunda Jimenez

Segunda Florencia Jimenez passed away on Friday, May 1st in Staten Island NY. Born July 25, 1930, in Vernaza, Ecuador, where she was a skilled seamstress. She immigrated to the United States in 1990, a dream she had waited many years for and was finally able to accomplish.

Segunda was the heart of the family. Beloved mother to Carlos, Oswaldo, Blanca and Xavier, and adored grandmother to her 9 grandchildren: Ingrid, Robert, Jennifer, Bryan, Jessica, Alexa, Elizabeth, Carlos and Romina. She was privileged to watch her family grow, being the great grandmother to 17 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Her memory and spirit will live on through her family.

Visitation will be held at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314, US, on May 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again on May 5, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314, US, on May 6, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.

A Committal Service will be held at St. Peters Cemetery, 52 Tyler Ave, New York, NY 10310, US, on May 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:15 am.
