Longtime Staten Islander owned Bagelwich deli in West Brighton
Stephan Corbo, 67, of Randall Manor, a lifelong Staten Islander and former deli owner, died Monday, March 11, 2019, at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.
Visitation is Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Harmon Funeral Home, with services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Corbo was born and grew up in New Dorp. After marrying Kathleen "Katie" Sullivan, they lived briefly in South Beach before settling in Randall Manor about 30 years ago. Stephan and Katie owned the former Bagelwich deli on Forest Avenue in West Brighton for about 25 years.
Mr. Corbo was a graduate of New Dorp High School and St. Peters College, where he earned his BA in art history.
Stephan enjoyed the outdoors, especially fly fishing and family camping trips.
Stephan was predeceased by his wife. Surviving are his two sons, Christopher and John; brother, Paschal; and two sisters, Lucia Taylor and Kathryn Gallo.
