

Born on Staten Island, Susan was a lifelong resident who was deeply rooted in her community and faith. She was a devoted parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church, where her quiet faith and steady presence were a meaningful part of her life.
Susan shared 39 years together with her beloved husband, Patrick Tierney. Their life together was built on enduring love, partnership, and family. She was a proud and dedicated mother to her three sons, Conor Tierney, Ryan Tierney, and Timothy Tierney, who were the center of her world and her greatest joy.
She is also survived by her sister, Christine Finnigan; her brother, James Finnigan; her sister-in-law, Valerie Finnigan; and her nephews, Brendan Finnigan and James Finnigan. Susan cherished her extended family and valued the close bonds they shared.
Susan had a special affection for animals, particularly her favorite bulldog, Zeke, and her beloved cat, who were constant companions and a source of comfort and happiness.
Professionally, Susan was employed at the Richmond County Country Club, where she worked in events coordination. She took great pride in her work and was known for her organization, attention to detail, and warm, welcoming manner.
Susan was a graduate of the College of Staten Island, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and was recognized with a departmental award of Summa Cum Laude in Economics—an achievement that reflected her dedication, intelligence, and perseverance.
Susan will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
Visitation services will be held at Casey Funeral Home, located at 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314, United States. The visitation will occur on January 6, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on January 7, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 1091 Forest Ave, New York, NY 10310, United States, on January 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The committal service will be held at St. Peters Cemetery, 52 Tyler Ave, New York, NY 10310, United States, on January 8, 2026, from 11:30 am to 11:45 am.
