Thomas J Sinnott

Born in Bayonne, Mr. Sinnott moved to Meiers Corners as a child with his family. He came to Dongan Hills 20 years ago.

Mr. Sinnott graduated from St. Peter's Boys High School in 1974.

He worked as a meter reader for 36 years, lastly with National Grid, on Staten Island. Mr. Sinnott retired last year.

He was a member of the Staten Island Ski Club.

In addition to skiing, Mr. Sinnott liked to travel. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Described by family as a generous man, Mr. Sinnott often donated to several charities.

He was a parishioner of St. Rita's R.C. Church, Meiers Corners.

Surviving are his father, Thomas M.; two brothers, Joseph T. and Jerome J., and two sisters, Patricia M. LaSalvia and Margaret Ratel.

The funeral will be Friday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 11:15 a.m. in St. Rita's Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Grasmere.
