Tina was born in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island as a toddler.She attended St. Peter's High School for Girls and was a proud graduate of Notre Dame College for Women Staten Island, the first member of her Italian immigrant family to attend university. She was a passionate lover of literature and classical music and particularly enjoyed the operas of Giuseppe Verdi .
Tina married Joseph Moschella of Rosebank in 1952. They raised four children together Vince (Elyce) Drew (Anthony) Mary Beth (Steve) and Joann (Kitti) in Great Kills. She enjoyed playing tennis and golf at the Richmond County Country Club and attended functions of the AAUW (American Association of University Women). Tina is pre deceased by her parents, Andrea and Giusepina, her brother, Pasquale (Pat).Tina leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also deeply mourned by her extended family, especially her beloved baby brother Mike Marotta and his wife Nancy, niece Mary Marotta, and by her family in Rotondi( Avellino) Italia.
Tina and Joe retired to Bethlehem, PA, to be closer to their daughter and family. They were avid world travelers, and active in volunteer activity at the World Apostolate of Mary in Washington, NJ. Tina read widely, and passed on her passion for books and her curiosity about the world to her kids and grandkids . She was an excellent cook whose chicken soup will be missed by many. And she visited more countries than many people can even name. Rather than mourn , we will celebrate her rich and varied life and trust she is safe and at peace, enjoying the glorious songs of the angels.
