

Tom S. Rzucidlo, 76, of Staten Island, New York passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Tom was born January 8, 1945 in Jersey City, NJ and was raised there until serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. After serving in the Army, Tom then settled on Staten Island. He attended Jersey City State College, Wagner College and The College of Staten Island. Tom worked on Wall St for 40 years and retired in 2003 after 25 years at Swiss American Securities' Stock Loan and Internal Audit departments. Upon retirement, he began working part-time for H&R Block as an Office Coordinator and tax preparer. He was past president of both the Stock Loan Association and The Friday Night Bond Club. Tom has been a parishioner of St. Clare parish since 1978 serving as an usher, Eucharist minister and volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was a regular blood donor attaining the gallon club distinction.
Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years, Denyse; two sons Peter (Leigh) and Kevin (Jacqueline), three grandchildren Kate Connie, Jake and Abigail; two step-grandchildren Ashleigh and Tyler Egle; two step-great-grandchildren Jason and Sophia Solka; his brother Eugene, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Tom will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 11:15 AM at St. Clare Church, 110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10308. Following the mass, a committal service will be held at 12:30 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 391 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10309.
