Born and raised Victoria Castagna in Brooklyn, she settled in Bay Terrace around 1966.
Mrs. Sheehan doted on her family. They lovingly recall the delicious struffoli she baked for the holidays. She also took pride in knitting personalized blankets for her grandchildren.
She enjoyed visiting Atlantic City.
Her husband, Neil, died in 2010.
Surviving are her sons, Stephen, James and Michael; two daughters, Stephanie Jones and Barbara Canario; a brother, Salvatore Castagna; two sisters, Jeanine McCourt and Lucille Rainone, and 13 grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, with a mass at 11 a.m. in St. Clare's R.C. Church, both in Great Kills. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
