Virginia Carriero

Virginia “Jean” Carriero passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday evening July 10, 2023. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to Staten Island NY with her husband Leonard in 1978. Virginia was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, family and laughter. She is predeceased by her daughter Gina Marie, son Leonard Charles and husband of 44 years Leonard. She is survived by her daughter Christine, son in law Michael and grandchildren, Evangelina, Alexandria, and Luca James as well as her sisters Rosalie and Cathy, brother Angelo and Michael and many beloved nieces and nephews.

You can only have one mother,

Patient, kind and true;

No other friend in all the world

Will be the same to you.

When other friends forsake you,

To mother you will return;

For all her loving kindness

She asks nothing in return.

As we look upon her picture

Sweet memories we recall

Of a face so full of sunshine

And a smile for one and all.
