Born on March 31, 1945 to Ann and Armond Pignatelli. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife and mother.
A graduate of Curtis High School class of 1962. Immediately after graduation, Vivian began a career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Manhattan. She was hired as a secretory in the coin division at the bank. During her career at the bank, Vivian met and eventually married the love of her life Pasquale Leto.
In 1976 after the birth of her only child, she became a full time homemaker. Devoting her time to caring for her family.
Always the first on the dance floor at all family occasions, she added fun and laughs to many parties. Vivian was a great babysitter always lending a helping hand to many generations of children in her ever expanding family. She entertained them with trips to the movies, the zoo, and treating them to special dinners. She enjoyed driving and shopping.
In her later years, Vivian enjoyed Hallmark Movies listening to music, as well as telling humorous tales of her childhood and teen adventures.
Predeceased by her parents and husband, in addition to her son she is survived by her brother, Joseph Pignatelli, sister-in-laws, Antoinette Greer, Irene (Escalera) Cara, several nieces and nephews, many cousins, extended family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family wishes to thank the friends, neighbors, and her home care provider, Lydia for their efforts and limitless support.
Visitation will be Friday November 26 at Harmon Funeral Home 571 Forest Avenue from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday November 27, 10 am Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery.
