Born Wanda Borga in Manhattan, she came to Great Kills in 1966. A homemaker, she devoted herself to caring for her family.
Mrs. Imperato loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed working with ceramics in her leisure time, and spent her winters in Florida.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Nicholas; her son, Nicholas; her daughters, Patricia Imbruglia and Diana Famigiletti, and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday from the Casey McCallum and Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. mass in St. Clare's R.C. Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
