Wilbur worked at many brokerage houses in lower Manhattan, beginning in the mailroom as a teenager and retiring from Bear Stearns as a Vice President. He was well known on the Staten Island bowling scene. He bowled from the time he was a young man until a few months ago. He bowled at the Bowling Green Alleys and at Rab’s Country Lanes. He also enjoyed cruises and trips to Atlantic City.
Wilbur was married to Catherine (nee Certo) for 54 years. They have three sons, Robert and wife, Christine, Joseph and wife, Tara and was predeceased by his son, Michael. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan and Olivia as well as his sister Margaret Humen and three nephews.
