

Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Meiers Corners in 1984.
Mr. Manzione worked in the computer operations department of New York Life Insurance for most of his career before moving to the security department and finally retiring in 2010.
He graduated from John J. High School, Brooklyn.
He enjoyed bowling and baseball, following the Dodgers from Brooklyn to Los Angles, and he was an L.A. Lakers basketball fan. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting M&M’s candy figurines, and he was a gadget lover.
“He was a gentle soul and loved by a lot of people,” said his son, Anthony. “If he had three cameras and a new one came out he would buy a fourth.”
Mr. Manzione was a parishioner of St. Rita’s R.C. Church, Meiers Corners.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, the former Wanda (Love) Lucia; two sons, Anthony and William Jr.; a daughter, Keri Manzione; a brother, Robert Manzione; a sister, Annette Hendrickson, and one granddaughter.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Rita’s Church. Burial will be Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
