Captain William Warren Sherwood Jr., 76, a native Staten Islander, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
Captain Bill Sherwood was a retired Sandy Hook pilot, who served as the NY President 0f the Sandy Hook Pilots for 12 years.
He is survived by his loving family: his beloved wife, Barbara; his daughter, Kristin; his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Dena; and the two grandchildren he adored, Sydney and Billy. He is also survived by his sister, Peggy Griswold and was predeceased by his sister, Kathy O'Neill and his brother , Dennis Sherwood.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
