

She was born in Bulloch County, Georgia on July 21, 1938 to Harry Allen Sack, Sr. and Anne Yarborough Sylvester Sack. She was a lifetime member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and a 1956 graduate of Statesboro High School. Claire attended Sacred Heart Junior College, Catholic University of America, and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette before receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Georgia Southern College, in 1963 and her Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia, in 1966. She also attended the religious organizations The Grail, in Loveland, OH and Glenmary Sisters, in Owensboro, KY. Claire became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 1973 and during her lifetime of work experiences, she particularly enjoyed the relationships with her clients and especially working with children and adolescents. During her career, she worked with Pineland Mental Health, Fort Stewart, Home Health, Nursing Homes and her private practice. Claire was a talented artist, who enjoyed crafting and painting on wood and enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, reading and writing. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. When each of her four grandsons were born, Claire would travel to their family home and spend a month helping out in any way. In addition to her parents, Claire was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Allen Sack, Jr., sister, Joan Sack Anderson and brother-in-law, William F. Pollak.
Claire is survived by her husband, Wayne A. Krissinger of Statesboro; 3 sons, F. Paul Krissinger of Norcross, Mark W. Krissinger and his wife, Kathi of West Columbia, SC and Dean A. Krissinger of Alpharetta; brother-in-law, W. Paul Krissinger of Statesboro; four grandsons, Jacob and Adam Krissinger of West Columbia, SC and Austin and Ethan Krissinger of Alpharetta; three brothers, Marc Sack and his wife, Connie of Tennille, Edward Sack of Lakeland, FL., Marion Sack and his wife, Linda of Apopka, FL., three sisters, Nancy Williams of North Fort Myers, FL., Mary White and her husband, Bob of Concord, Mass. and Julia Pollak of Hixson, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Jane Sack of Statesboro; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Friday, May 29, 2015 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with a Rosary Service being held at 7:30 PM.
The funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 30, 2015 in St. Matthew Catholic Church with Father Michael Smith officiating.
Entombment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Sack, Michael Sack, Fred Williams, Eric Pollak, Christopher Anderson and Lawton Sack.
