

Mr. Delmar “Del” Rufus Howell, III, age 45, died Tuesday at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was a native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County and the owner of Howell’s Wrecker Service. Del enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching Nascar racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Delmar Rufus Howell, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Ami Michell Howell of Statesboro; his sister, Debbie Harper of Metter; his special nephew, Jimmy Adam (Judy) Meredith of Statesboro; several other nieces and nephews; his special friends, Kent (Jamie) Munsey, Ed Curl, Janelle Belcher; and his loving dogs, Sparkey and Diesel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:30 until 9:00 P.M. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Friday at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Elder Mike Newman officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Billings, Neil Casey, Chuck Forney, Tim Horton, Jason Kearney, Kirk McGlamery, Jody Rogers, and Kenny Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers will be all Law Enforcement Officers.
Burial will be in Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
